Free Barcode Generator
Nine symbologies with check-digit validation, print-resolution PNG or vector SVG output. No signup, no watermark, nothing stored.
Any text or numbers — the general-purpose default.
Printing? Choose SVG — vector edges stay crisp at any label size. For PNG use 300 DPI or higher.
Check digits are validated for EAN, UPC and ITF-14 — invalid payloads are rejected before you print 5,000 labels.
Frequently asked questions
Which barcode types can I generate?
Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, ITF-14, Code 39, DataMatrix, PDF417 and GS1-128 — pick the symbology and the tool validates your data against it.
Why was my EAN or UPC number rejected?
The last digit of every EAN/UPC is a modulo-10 check digit computed from the others. If it doesn't match, the code would fail at the till — so it's rejected here instead of after you've printed 5,000 labels.
What resolution should I use for printing?
Download SVG when you can — vector output scales to any label size without fuzzy bar edges. For PNG, generate at 300 DPI or higher and never upscale a small image.
Where do I get an official product barcode number?
GTINs come from GS1, by licensing a company prefix. Numbers resold outside that system will scan, but marketplaces increasingly verify GTIN ownership against GS1 records.
