Privacy policy.
This is a summary of how ASHDOCS actually handles data today. Last updated: 1 August 2026.
What data do we collect?
Account data (name, email, and a hashed password — or your Google profile if you sign in with Google), billing records (payments are processed by Razorpay; ASHDOCS never stores card numbers), request metadata (which tool ran, when, how long it took, credits used), the documents you upload for processing (subject to your retention settings), and destination credentials you connect (S3 keys, Google Drive tokens — stored Fernet-encrypted).
How do we use it?
To deliver the service you requested, to secure the platform and prevent abuse, to bill you, to send transactional email about your account, and to understand product usage in aggregate. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your documents to train AI models.
Who do we share it with?
Only the sub-processors needed to run the service: Cloudflare (file storage and CDN), Razorpay (payment processing), Anthropic (AI-assisted extraction — only when you use an extraction tool such as pdf-to-data), Google (OAuth sign-in and optional Drive delivery), and PostHog (product analytics). Each receives only what it needs for its function.
How long do we keep it?
Job outputs are retained for 24 hours by default so you can download them, then purged. Zero-retention mode never persists your source document or the result. Account and billing records are kept for the life of your account and as required for tax and accounting. You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time.
What are your rights?
You can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal data, and you can object to specific processing. Email ashwinmanikandan@ashdocs.com or use the contact page — requests are answered within 30 days.
